Music: Artist of the Moment - Lianne La Havas

The 22 year old hailing from London, is quickly making a name for her self in the music world, after releasing her E.P lost and found in October last year, critics have been said to be eagerly anticipating her debut album, which is now available; having been referred to as “a stripped down Erykah Badu” by Dave Simpson from The Guardian, it can undoubtedly be said that there is a lot of excitement in regards to her career.

My favourite song of the moment from Lianne is ‘Lost and Found’; this song speaks to me on so many levels and the truth and conviction in the lyrics cut deep every time I listen to the song. She herself has said that one of the main influences of her album, is and ex boyfriend; its so funny how some of most endearing albums tell the personal story of a failed relationship (cough cough Adele), I guess the late night sobs into the pillow and discarded tubs of Ben and Jerry’s were not in vain, right girls?
